Do you want to view only the latest Intrusion Prevention alerts?
Each time you view Alert Viewer, new alert entries are flagged with an asterisk at the beginning of the line. Secondly, when you click on Alert Viewer the screen always comes up to the last place you were viewing, usually the most recent alerts, so that you can view all new alerts by clicking ‘Next’.

eSoft Introduces ThreatMonitor |
|
Notice something new on the home-page of your management interface? ThreatMonitor is a graphical management tool designed to help IT managers better understand the behavior of network traffic, as well as network threat activity. ThreatMonitor collects, interprets and graphically summarizes critical system and network information to help the IT manager make more informed decisions regarding network usage and security policies. Each InstaGate ThreatMonitor tab allows the administrator to quickly view system information, firewall traffic statistics, or summary threat information from the Intrusion Prevention and Gateway Anti-Spyware SoftPaks immediately after logging into the InstaGate. Here is a summary of the System and Firewall Monitors included on all InstaGates: System Monitor
- System Information – General system information including the current time, serial number and installed firmware version.
- Performance – A representation of disk space and system load on the InstaGate. The graph will turn yellow, then red during high system loads or when the hard drive is nearing capacity so that administrators can be alerted when they may need to start planning for additional resources.
- Interfaces – IP addresses of the InstaGate LAN, WAN and DMZ interfaces even if it is dynamically assigned by the ISP.
- Subscribed SoftPaks – Quickly view that your SoftPaks and signatures are up to date. Upcoming expirations and updated software ready to be installed will be indicated at the top of the section and/or highlighted.
Firewall Monitor
- Inbound/Outbound Traffic – Statistics and graphs on traffic that flows through the firewall to and from the LAN, WAN and DMZ (if installed).
- Blocked Traffic – A representation of the traffic that is blocked by firewall policies (in red).
- Protocol Traffic Profile – A breakdown of popular protocols that helps IT managers see what is utilizing their bandwidth.

SiteFilter Integration with Active Directory |
Are you using Active Directory? We recently announced an updated version of the SiteFilter SoftPak for the ThreatWall. Web Access policies can now be assigned to user groups of a Windows Active Directory server. When users browse the Internet their Windows login to Active Directory will be used to identify them and assign the appropriate SiteFilter policies without being prompted for an additional username and password.
