Content Filter

Content Filter scans all incoming and outgoing email for user-defined keywords and phrases embedded in the email body, as well as in many attachment types. The administrator can quarantine email or forward it for review. Content Filter also allows customers to create custom lists of the file types to be blocked, such as .exe, .p2p, .asp, etc.

Data Loss Protection

Companies use eSoft's Content Filter to prevent sensitive documents and customer information from leaving their network via email. By blocking keywords like "confidential," "company confidential," and "trade secret," companies can prevent the inadvertant sharing of intellectual property with third parties. By blocking the transmission of credit card numbers, social security numbers, and driver's licenses, companies can prevent the unsecured transmission of information that could be intercepted, leaving the company liable for stolen identities. By protecting confidential data, companies also comply with voluntary and mandatory industry regulations. With eSoft's Content Filter, data loss through email can be entirely prevented. Because of the quarantine feature, administrators can check quarantined emails and talk with the sender about company policies to prevent other data breaches.

Part of data loss protection involves malicious theft of data by hackers. eSoft's Email ThreatPak includes Gateway AntiVirus and Intrusion Prevention features designed to detect keystroke loggers, malicious software, and hack attempts, and prevent these threats from meeting their goals.

Flexible Settings

Content Filter allows you to filter inbound or outbound, as well as create specific keywords and phrases for capture and quarantine. You can match using case insensitive, and Perl Regular Expressions. Content Filter will search the entire Data Portion of an email including attachments.

Attachment Stripping

Content Filter allows you to strip attachments, using rules including Accept all (default), Quarantine, Accept and Strip, and Reject.

Content Filter Quarantine

Content Filter provides a secure quarantine for authorized access and management, such as a finance or personnel manager, who is authorized to deal with quarantined subject matter.
