Gateway Anti-Spyware - Custom Source Rules
Overview
Custom Source Rules allow you to exempt a LAN client or network from Gateway Anti-Spyware scanning. This is particularly useful for internal DNS servers or other servers that should not have their traffic scanned.
Configuration
Access the Custom Source Rules by going to Gateway Anti-Spyware > Custom Source Rules. Enter the LAN IP address of any client you wish to exempt from scanning. IP Addresses are separated by carriage returns. Only trusted LAN clients or servers should be completely exempt from Gateway Anti-Spyware scanning.
Example: If you have a central server that your LAN clients download Antivirus or Spyware signatures from at 192.168.1.2. To exempt this server you would add 192.168.1.2 into the list under Custom Source Rules.
