The Malware Attempts ThreatMonitor folder groups all virus, phishing and spyware activity to allow for at-a-glance monitoring of these malware threats that may affect your network.

Note: These reports are available only when subscribed to ThreatPaks containing Gateway AntiVirus and/or Gateway AntiSpyware.

 

Malware Reports

The following are the default reports displayed on the Malware Attempts ThreatMonitor Tab.

Activity - The threats that have been seen and/or mitigated by your eSoft device in the past 24 hour period, categorized by the protocol and/or type of threat blocked. DNS Blocked- Threats blocked by Gateway AntiSpyware DNS filtering, showing the total number of occurrences a particular DNS domain was blocked.

Downloads Blocked - File downloads that were blocked by the Gateway AntiVirus HTTP or FTP Scanning features. Email Blocked - Email attachments that were rejected or deleted by the Gateway AntiVirus email scanning features. Top Clients Blocked - The top local clients blocked while attempting to browse to a compromised site or download infected files, sorted by IP address. Top Servers Blocked - The remote servers or computers blocked most often by your eSoft appliance. Log - A running list of recent log entries pertaining to the Gateway AntiVirus and AntiSpyware functions of your unit. Sorting by column, or paging through the log for older data, will give you an explicit view of which computers or servers have been blocked by these features, including the source of the attack, the computer making the request, and the malware type.
