NEW THREATMONITOR REPORTING
The ThreatMonitor reporting tool now consists of six folders, holding information and reports for each security subsection. Sections that are not active will not be shown. Follow the link below to find out more information on each folder.
NEW THREATMONITOR FEATURES
Several features have been added to improve the user experience and functionality of the ThreatMonitor. Report charts are now generated by the browser and use advanced caching and data retrieval routines for speed and reliability. Report areas can be clicked to drill down and gain more detailed information. Reports can moved, maximized and minimized, and includes a new paging table display for easy access to report data. Custom reports can be added and the default query and display options can be changed. More information on these features can by found on the following links.
MAILED REPORT IMPROVEMENTS
Mailed reports now match the ThreatMonitor interface and are delivered in PDF format. These new reports replace reports such as the daily report and are delivered shortly after midnight everyday. The mailed reports are configurable, offering the ability to select different reports to be included in the nightly report.
In addition to the standard report that is delivered daily, administrators have the option to send a report immediately using the Send Now feature. This allows administrators the ability to capture and email specific reports in real time for printing, further analysis or archiving.
WEB THREATPAK PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENTS
The web proxy has been enhanced through the introduction of the new ICAP server and SiteFilter.
- ICAP - Internet Content Adaptation Protocol (ICAP) is an industry-standard protocol for performing deep packet inspection. eSoft's new ICAP server replaces our previous methods of analyzing web content and categorization. This process is now much faster and uses less system resources.
- SiteFilter - The library we use for SiteFilter has been upgraded for faster performance and ability to support new features.
- Expanded Safe Search - Safe search has been expanded to support Yahoo and Bing, in addition to Google which was already supported.
- High Performance - For units with over 1GB of memory a new High Performance option has been added which allows the web proxy to use more memory for better performance. For eligible units this setting is available under Web Proxy > Settings > Advanced.
